The project aims to allow us, students, to research and come up with certain passive design strategies that are suitable to a current building that faces thermal issues or relying too much on active cooling methods. We are to survey a building of our own choice which features passive design strategy for tropical climate within the Klang Valley and highlight any thermal problems found within the building and design a solution to overcome the problem. Should there be none, we are to study on the successful passive cooling strategies that have already been initiated. Much research and survey have to be carried out on the building in regards to the position of the building and the materials and cooling designs used.
