PROJECT 1 : case study (acoustic design )
In a group of 8, students are required to conduct a case study on a local auditorium. Throughout the site visit, they are expected to understand and observe critically, about the acoustic system of the particular space. For our group, we decided Putrajaya International Convention Centre as our target site, which located at Putrajaya. The plenary hall as our acoustical study area, which is mainly for speech activities.
PROJECT 2: INTEGRATION PROJECT
In this project, we are required to integrate the lighting system design and application including natural daylight and also artificial lighting into our final project for Studio V which is a community library. First of all, we need to understand the requirement of lighting system in a library and further integrate the system into our building design without distrupting the intention and concept of our building design.
The objectves of the project are as follow :
1. To be able to show understanding of artificial lighting and daylighting strategies (PSALI) in final design.
2. To be able to solve design problems in relation to sustainability issues (natural lighting, site analysis).
3. To be able to design spaces incorporating artificial and daylighting (when necessary).
