Project 1 : Case Study
For the first part of the project, we are required to carry out a case study on a selected city which is Petchaburi Road, Bangkok, Thailand. We are also required to read Jahn Gehl's "Life Between Building" and relate the theories stated back to the selected area/street while examining the relationship between patterns of space, social activities and pattern in the city. Contact points along the street need to be identified as well to study on the degree of contact intensity between people in the city in relation to Gehl's theory of human behavior in public spaces and comparing it with Jalan TAR, Kuala Lumpur.
Project Part 2 : Comparative Analysis Essay
We are required to read the text and produce a reaction paper based on our intepretation, personal thoughts and opinion on the theories stated in the given texts.
